How to Install or Setup Wordpress on cPanel Hosting Website

By

Don't know how to install wordpress? No problem. Just check if your website is powered by cPanel hosting and it supports Fantastigo De Luxe. If your cPanel supports Fantastigo De Luxe it is just a simple task installing wordpress on your website. How to check if this service is available? Login to your website's cPanel. Generally the url for logging in to cPanle will be like http://yourdomain.com/cpanel. You will be asked for userid and password, enter them and you can see the cPanel interface.

See all 3 photos

On the cPanel interface you could see many icons which links to different services offered by your cPanel hosting. From those icons look for Fantastigo De Luxe and click on that. You will be taken to Fantastigo navigation page.

On the left side of that page you can see a navigation bar you can see a list of programs those can be installed by Fantastigo De Luxe. Select Wordpress under 'Blogs' section and then Select New Installation from right pane.

You will now be taken to Wordpress installation configuration page. Select the domain on which you want setup wordpress. If you want to install on sub-domain select the sub-domain.

For example:
For installation on main domain select
http://yourdomain.com

For installation on subdomain select
http://subdomain.yourdomain.com

Then give a directory name if you want to install wordpress on a seperate folder.

For Example:
If you want to install wordpress on a folder 'MyBlog' on main domain like http://yourdomain.com/MyBlog select main domain above then use 'myblog' in directory name.

Or

If you want to install wordpress on a folder 'MyBlog' on sub domain like http://subdomain.yourdomain.com/MyBlog select sub domain above then use 'myblog' in directory name.

Give all other configuration like Admin access data and Base configuration details and click Install Wordpress. Make sure to remember the login details for admin access. However you will have an option to send installation details to your email id in next page.

Now you can see the installation details and url of your wordpress blog on next page. Just click 'Finish Installation' to complete the wordpress setup. Now to access your wordpress admin area just add wp-admin to the url of your wordpress blog just installed for ex: http://yourdomain.com/myblog/wp-admin and use login details used while setting up the wordpress.
